Hi Dave,
For #12, why wouldn't we consider C the correct answer? The passage states in lines 38-41 that "there is no way for us to be wrong" which supports the idea that this expertise leads to "an increased tendency to ignore one's own errors in judgement within that field," at least this is the connection I made which led me to choose C.
Clarity on this would be great. Thanks

Those lines of the text tell us that we become inured to inferences about our own thinking, not about the subject of our expertise!
