77 Game 2
Comments

Hey Dave!
For questions such as number 9, I employ a different method of thinking and I was wondering if it's valid.. If the answer choice says that L,M, or V must be in position 2 then I take that to mean that every element could be in that spot.
For example on #9, I stopped once I filled in P for position 4 and O/S for position 3/5. From there, I could eliminate O, S, and P from the possible answer choices - eliminating C) and E) because of S. Then I checked my rules and since N can only be in position 5, it cannot be in position 2 - eliminate B). R can only be in 1 or 6, so eliminate D). That leaves me only with answer choice A).
Does that work?

That totally works, and my only note of caution is that it's possible that in another game you get a different answer choice set, perhaps like this:
(A) L M V
(B) L M
(C) - (E) [same as presented in the actual game]
If that were the case, you'd get almost home with your approach, but then you'd have to find out whether or not V can actually be 2nd.
Note that this is not a knock on your approach here; it just means that you may need to do a little additional work in some instances.
Make sense?
