I don't think C and D are the same, even if C had said "none of the NEW shows...". C talked about the shows that were not cancelled, D talked about the shows that were cancelled.
C does not strengthen the argument. because it does not tell us anything about the shows that were cancelled. Maybe none of the shows cancelled were police dramas. Maybe they did not produce any police drama last year. In that case, how could one predict that police drama will be cancelled this year?

That's absolutely correct. Another way of seeing this would be to symbolize the conditional relationships, upon which you'll be able to see (visually!) that (C) and (D), which look nearly the same on the page, are actually inverse of each other.

Do u think this argument can be strengthened by saying that “all of the new shows that W&W produced last year were police dramas”, or “all of the new shows that W&W produced last year that were police dramas were canceled”?
