Can you please explain AC E? I think the conclusion matches causally. Other activities cause adults to read less. So, I think we can match the conclusion. Does it go wrong in the premises then? If it had said when there are other activities available, adults read less and when we take away those activities they read more, would that be a correct parallel? It kind of sounds like what AC E says to me except AC E uses comparative the more the less and the less the more. Can you please explain?

There's a perhaps subtle but very important distinction between (E) and our argument.
In the argument, we get both sides of the coin: more TV = less reading, and less TV = more reading.
In (E), we are only told (twice) that more activities = less reading. We don't get the other half (i.e., (E) should—but does not—also say that more reading = less activities).
