Hm. I don't see it. How did you take (B) to explain why milk sales increased when yogurt didn't, even though the yogurt ads have more influence than the milk ads?

I chose answer B as well. I took it as it would explain the milk increase in sales if people didn’t go to that store at all to buy yogurt. Then the advertising wouldn’t help.

Ah, I see what you're saying. But the problem is that (B) doesn't really say the same thing as you've said above. I think you're totally right: if (B) said that people buy their yogurt elsewhere, that would be explanatory.
But here, (B) just says that the people who go to the store specifically for milk don't also intend to buy yogurt.
But why doesn't the advertising work on them? (in other words, why don't they change their intention and buy some sweet, sweet yogurt once they see the ads?)
And what about all the people who go to the store, but not only in order to buy milk? Why aren't those people buying yogurt?
Does that make sense?
