Hi Dave,
For 22 I would have chosen E too, but they capitalized and italicized "Jazz" in the answer choices which made me want to look for how the novel inspired other writers as opposed to the musical genre. The passage distinguishes the two textually.
Can you please comment on this?

Answer choice E specifically says "What characteristics of Jazz". Yet that part of the paragraph does not make it clear that jazz is included. I mean I easily see how it's an assumption we would make based on the passage, but is that an assumption we should be automatically making?
I see that the other answer choices are definitely wrong, but yet not seeing jazz specifically mentioned in that snip of the first paragraph, made it a bit confusing for me.

For 16, in answer choice (C) it starts with "a description of a common claim"...I am having a hard time coming up with what that would look like. Should I just read it as "a common claim" ? or does it actually mean something different?
