Quick Q. For the rules H --> ~S and ~M, when doing the contrapositive and noting that always either ~S or ~H, why is is that it can't be always ~M or ~H?

Could you please walk me through Q23 answer choice A but this time choosing to put W in instead of S. So we would have H, W, and M in and S, T, and P out. I see that this violates the first rule, but what about the second rule? If it doesn't then would I just try again with S in, hoping that this will violate the rule? I do not understand this very well.
