Hi Dave,
Is it true then if you have load bearing language in the passage for inference questions, then you will very likely have the same load bearing language in the answer choice?

No. It's certainly true that in order to have LBL in an answer, you must see that language in the passage. But (notice how I'm sneaking in a lessonon conditionals here!), just because you do have LBL in a passage does not guarantee you'll see it in a correct answer choice. In fact, right answers are always likely to be small, even when load-bearing language is present in the passage.

Hi Dave,
I narrowed the answer choices to B and C. Both of them seemed right to me, but I ultimately chose B here because the answer was smaller and easier to prove. (answer C says Every time something happens, something else must happen as well.) But on balance, I still don't think C was an awful answer. Can you please comment if my strategy for choosing B over C was a good strategy in this situation, or if I just lucked out? And can you also possibly explain what specifically about C makes it wrong? Thanks!

In order to choose an answer, we must be able to point to the place in the passage that proves that it's true. There is no such evidence proving (C) here, so we should not pick it as our answer.
