Why doesn't B identify the analogy error? I understand that D is a better choice but I did't even get to it because I thought B was identifying the analogy error, wouldn't the argument fall apart if B was false?

(B) does not have that effect, partly because we don't know whether the consumer used the watch the way it was supposed to be used!
Perhaps more importantly, though, we really don't care whether the two watches last the same amount of time. We might need to know that they'd both last more than a day, but we don't need anything more than that.
