Hi, Dave. I identified this question as the ascriptive error, but I choose B. I understand why C is correct especially when I used the negate test and it ruins the arg, but I'm struggling to understand why B is wrong. The only thing I see making B wrong is the word "sole". the argument doesn't say this was the sole reason, but the sales were the only example used. so I'm a little unsure st this point.

Well, that's it exactly; if I conclude that you're a man because you play in the NBA, that doesn't require me to assume that the NBA is the sole indicator of maleness, even if it's the only thing I mention. I just need to know that it is an indicator. Same here.
