(A) would show that spiritual climbers shouldn't go, but it doesn't address non-spiritual climbers. It's too narrow for proving this conclusion.

Imagine this argument:
Many people claim that mind-blowing sex provides a profound spiritual experience. But people should not have sex, because the risk of disease is very high in unprotected populations. What's more, those people who report such experiences are only feeling hormonal changes, not spiritual enlightenment.
Given that argument, if you substutute "sex" for "mountain climbing" in answer choice (D), would that prove that people should not have sex?
