After going through the answer choices I see why an ascriptive error is more applicable, however, could this also constitute as an absence of evidence error?
Flaw/summary: They haven't found evidence of the neutron star so the supernova must not have produced one. Therefore the current theory is wrong. (No evidence of neutron star = no neutron star.)
Assumes: if there was a neutron star it would have been found.
Strengthen -> assert assumption.
Is there any logical fallacy in my reasoning?
Thanks!
