Does this passage mean that the large, diverse sample of people has respectively one psychological problem?
I thought all of them has 60 problems.
How can I know each of them has one problem?

We don't know that each of them has one problem. That's the problem with the argument; it never tells us how many problems each person has. You mustn't assume everyone has 60 (also, that would be crazy, right? That's a lot of problems!), nor any other particular number. Here, as always, do not assume anything!
