I chose A, and I need your help.
I think that the argument is (remain open) -> (local media), and this condition was treated as (local media) -> (remain open).
So, it confuses a necessary condition with a sufficient condition?

Yeah, your symbolic treatment of this argument isn't quite right.
You've got the conclusion of the argument correct: that media coverage was necessary for the museum to stay open (remain open → local media).
But the argument did not claim that the local media was sufficient to keep the museum open. It would have had to say that it was sufficient (something very close to "The local media reports were enough to keep the museum opoen") in order to support (A). However, it only says that the local media helped, not that it was a sufficient condition.
(D) correctly assesses that the argument has assumed without evidence that the local media was necessary.
Clearer?

Yes, I got it. It says "seems to have contributed"...
Thank you, Dave!
