On this question I selected D for the same reason. I put down that it was a causal flaw and that there was some other reason. I actually was stuck between A and D and thought D was better in explaining that the thief does not consider what model the car is. Perhaps I'm over thinking this?
Could you please provide clarification?
Thanks a million, and I loved the example of too many Camrys.

Here's a (maybe?) quick structural exit for you: (D) is claiming to be a necessary assumption of the argument, and the things we need to assume tend very commonly to be small.
Now, this may feel tricky; after all, if we wanted to conclude that the reason cars are stolen is because of their model, we would need to know there's no other reason. But notice that here, we're not saying that model is THE reason they're stolen. We've only concluded that model is one large reason (it "greatly affects the chances").
But in order to conclude that car models have a large effect on which ones are stolen, do we really need to know that thieves ONLY consider model when deciding what to steal?
Thief: "I mean, sure, car A is isolated, unlocked, and in a dark alley, and car B is locked and parked just outside the police station. But car A is a freaking Honda Civic and car B is a sweet, sweet Toyota Camry. I'M STEALING CAR B SINCE MODEL IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS TO ME."
Now, you might have detected the slightest whiff of hyperbole in the above example, but I really do want to drive home the lesson about structural cues. They really can make your work quick and correct, and the reason (D) is wrong here is the same reason answers like it on questions like this are almost always wrong. To conclude that a thing has some effect (even a large effect), we won't ever need to know that it's the only possible thing that has an effect.
Does that make sense?

Thank you for taking the time to make this FANTASTIC explanation that (even made me laugh). I totally get it, and this will certainly help me with many other questions!

Sandra Jeans,
You are an absolute delight.
Thank you.
