I did select B however, D did catch my attention after I negated it. Just to make sure I am in the right headspace- D is wrong because when negated if the assignment was assigned to Larson- does not mean he can DO it; since the passage states Larson cannot do it BECAUSE of the scheduling issue, which is separate from the fact of it being possible to assign it to him? Originally when I first negated D i saw it as opening up the option of Larson again - supposedly breaking the conclusion that the assignment MUST be assigned to Parker however, ultimately I used the thought process of the ability of it being assigned to you doesn't mean you can/will do it (which doesn't break the argument of Parker being the only supervisor who HAS to do it).

Yeah, I think your reasoning here is basically correct.
I'd say it this way: we don't have to know that it cannot be assigned to ANYONE with a schedule conflict in order to know that it cannot be assigned to Larson, with her particular conflict (perhaps Larson will be in the hospital delivering a baby ; that's not your run-of-the-mill scheduling conflict, right?)
In other words, there's an important lesson about structure here; to rule out one thing (Larson), we will almost never need to rule out all things (anyone with a schedule conflict).
