Hi there!
For this question, I was stuck between answer choices B and C.
B looked appealing because it had evidence, they acted upon the evidence to ensure the benefit of the people, and then they did not succeed. The reason this was appealing was because of the word "generally". Is this akin to most?
C was appealing for similar reasons, but I mistakenly assumed the furnace to be the object of discussion (opposed to just tacitly assuming that the object directly benefitted her daughter- which is obvious to me now) and I would have opted for this over B.
Thus, my question is what type of language category would "generally" fall into?
Best,
Anna

You're right; "generally" means "most of the time." It's what I call Middle Language.

This is a parallel question, right?
Just wanted to let you know that on your LSAT question types sheet is says "inference" - just noticed this while checking if I was identifying the question types correctly.

This is an inference question; if the (pseudo-)conditional rule set in the passage is true, then (C) must be true. It follows the rule we were given precisely.
The only difference is that in a Parallel question, we'd be given an illustration of a rule, not the plain-language articulation that we're given here.
