Most importantly to me, this essayist hasn't demonstrated anything in this passage. I suggest you review this video to avoid answers like this in future!

So, I also chose E, but when I went back and reviewed the video on method questions, I did the "did we" test on E, and it really stood out (also that's she failed to demonstrate anything).
The last paragraph declares that "were we to believe in clairvoyance, we would accept knowledge claims made on the basis of it".
Bingo
so my reasoning on why E cannot be the right answer is this sentence above implies that clairvoyance could be a case of knowledge (defined as a true belief formed by a reliable process) meaning that it could potentially fit the definition making E wrong. So when I placed "did we" in the beginning it really helped me and I could see it. Great tool while doing these in the rush and crush time constraints of this process.
Then A just sung to me, as it's clearly based on a belief.
Don't know if I explained it correctly but I sure can see it.
