I thought this was a parallel reasoning question because It seemed to lend to a structural reading (taking the principle and applying it to another situation). Can you help me understand why it is an inference question. Thank you! :)

After watching the video, the difference in this case seems very nuanced. Both use a rule in the passage to support an answer. Are there any issues in treating this like a parallel question in this case? It seems like whether it's an inference or a parallel question in this case, we are trying to do the same thing. Is that right? Thank you :)
The real difference is that in the Inference version of the question, the rule is articulated by the passage.
By contrast, in the Parallel version, the rule is not articulated, but is instead exemplified by the passage.
At least theoretically, the Inference version should be easier, since you don't have to pull out the rule before applying it; you just have to apply the rule as it's stated.
