For Q28, you say A is wrong because we don't have conflicting evidence but for E you say the sacred text is their evidence and different kinds of evidence.
I was torn between A and E. Is it just that A has no conclusion (no ID of criminal or no ID of two different criminals) whereas E has a conflicting conclusion?

It is as I said: in the passage, we are not given the presence of conflicting evidence. In the passage, we draw different conclusions about the same evidence, based on conflicting ideologies.
(A) rests on conflicting evidence, unlike the passage. Thus, it's incorrect.
LIke the passage, (E) identifies the conflict as being one of ideological starting position.
In the passage, Buddhists have their creation story and so do Christians. Examining their holy texts won't tell you which is correct; we'd need to know which text is true.
Likewise, historians using slave accounts differ in their interpretation of an event from those using slaveowner accounts. Further investigation into the accounts won't help; we'd need to figure out which account is truthful.

Can you please elaborate on the difference between answer choices A and B?
