Dave, just a quick notice, on question 8 you mention not choosing B. I think you meant to not choose A. Just wanted to make sure that was noted, I was confused for a few seconds.

Question 12, I got down to a and c, and was really stuck between them. I ultimately chose a based on the first paragraph stating that his career leading up to Brown v BOE paved the way for his landmark case.
Having said that, I see why c is right, but I just don't see why it is more right than a. Can you just clarify that a bit? Thanks.

Try thinking of it this way—if the purpose had been to reveal the details of Marshall's career, then this passage failed miserably. We aren't told any of the details of his career; only that he tried some cases with the NAACP.
In order for an answer to be the primary purpose, in other words, the author must have done that thing. This will carry over to all other questions about primary purpose (and to all Method and all Flaw questions in LR, too!).
