Hello! I found myself going back and forth between b and C. I chose c mainly because of the wording in b. I didn't think the passage referenced anything close to an accomplishment that was admired. I agree that the author is supportive of Vernon's work, but there is no mention of an accomplishment. Could you explain how this wording is accurate to what is described in the passage?

The passage mentions a few things her study accomplished, among them:
- showing that Africans introduced rice cultivation (first paragraph)
- uncovering evidence that starving French settlers explicitly wanted rice expertise from people they enslaved (also first paragraph)
- discovered the locations where Africans had cultivated rice (second paragraph)
And so on.
As for (C), I'd say the first sentence of the passage is enough in itself (though there's also evidence throughout the passage) to make clear that this author is not neutral toward Wallace's work.
