It's not only appropriate; it's encouraged.
This is a courtship - you want to make the law school feel like she's the only girl for you.
Of course, that's not a good tactic if it's insincere - law school admissions officers are even better than girls at detecting bullshit.
If you're really crazy about the school, though, you should totally let them know it - they want students who want them back (partly out of a sort of collegial cameraderie, but also for very practical purposes - they've always got their eyes on their "yield").
