LSAT Kung Fu Forum / So, what do you think of the podcast?
So, what do you think of the podcast?
I think the podcasts are tremendously helpful, especially for those of us who have limited budgets and can’t come up with the money for the full course. Your humor and examples taken from everyday life provide a clear understanding of the structure behind logic that can subsequently be applied to the questions on the test. I wish there was an easier way to tackle the games section in the podcast, as that is the area I seem to be struggling with the most (particularly ordering games and timing).
My issue is your contention that the anti-logical douche bag of the year award is a less than stellar name for what it is trying to represent. I don’t think that putting two words next to each other necessarily equates the two; in fact, it’s my opinion that having both words present actually reflects the opposite. It would just be redundant to have two equal words are listed adjacently, however, having two words that represent distinctly separate ideas next to each other, that when taken together, clearly represent the full idea of the idea you are trying to advance is a sufficient reason that the current name fits its intended purpose.
Et touché!
Well first, I love the podcasts. They are great ways for me to learn while I'm at work. I just want to know, when are more podcasts arriving? If you need ideas, well I'm listening to "Welcome to LSAT Kung Fu" for the third time and realize there are plenty of ideas you promised that hasn't not been in a podcast, such as the terrifying plot of glee. And we never learned the anti-logical douchbag of the year. Though "ALDY" is my favorite podcast.
Anyway keep up the great work. Oh, also, when do the live classes start?
Yeah; I keep meaning to get back to podcasting, but it seems like there's always something else. I'm going to make a real effort to do weekly podcasts leading up to the June test.
I'm teaching one live classroom course in Irvine preparing for the June 2012 administration. That class begins with a practice test this Saturday (March 3rd). It's not too late to enroll; if you want to join, you can call 800-2-REVIEW and ask for the class Dave Hall is teaching in Irvine.
Would that be a freebie with full enrollment here on the site?
The podcast is free to everyone and available here. I haven't recorded a new episode in ages, but I'm really planning to start again this coming week.
Feet to the fire sir - let's get one out for us latecomers. :o
I agree, Would love one for us to get me pumped and prepared. Just last minute words of advice. Maybe a bit of a refresher. I know you did that for the September test takers but I'm sure we could benefit from the same. Besides this may be your last chance since hopefully we won't be taking this test again.
Good show, sir. For some insane reason, I will most definitely still listen to these post-LSAT - for some other reason though, I have yet to love the Biebs.
He will grow on you (the same way mold does on bread). Have a good day tomorrow!
thanks brah that was legit
My pleasure. Kick the test in the nads tomorrow, OK?
I love the podcast and am always checking for more episodes! I usually start my day with a listen to two or three episodes and then go on with my LSAT day. More episodes please.
You're right. It's totally time for a new episode. OK. I'm going to try to get a new one up VERY SOON.
d
Yay a new episode! I love the podcast because I can play or replay episodes as I drive or when I can't find wifi at work. Thanks for bringing it back - I was running out of episodes.
I like the new approach where you try to teach some LR. But I would also like to see a podcast on the negate test and the rule of 2. You use the negate test a lot and it comes up in multiple videos, but for some reason I still forget about it until I'm going over the answer choices. Same thing with the rule of two in games. I do the same thing for the most part - but I don't seem to recognize it as that so it takes me longer. I'm rewatching the theory videos, especially where I know I need some extra work, but it still seems to be a little slower on the uptake.
Or maybe some tips some of your students have used for when something just doesn't seem to stick?
Cool! Good ideas; I'll post some shortly. Expect more episodes to drop at the end of October, and (hopefully!) every week thereafter!
