PT38 P4 Q25

Hi!

I picked A here, although I agree that E is also correct.

Can somebody give me any insight on why A is wrong?

Paragraph 4:

Sentence 1: Readers don't have to abandon all moral principles.

Situation ethics does require such abandoning.

Sentence 2: Such relativistic stance (situation ethics) (referred to as former in sentence 3) is as bad as

dogmatically absolutism (referred to as latter in sentence 3).

Sentence 3: incorporation of narrative literature serves as corrective to the latter (absolutism),

but need not lead to the former (relativism, ergo abandoning of moral principles)

conclusion: use of narrative literature "need not lead to" extreme relativism.

So of course A is NOT ascribed to the use of narrative literature.

Why is A wrong?

Thanks so much!

Hey, there,

I've answered your question in this week's mailbag. Today's mailbag is recording number THIRTY-SIX.

You'll notice that there are vertical lines running through the playback bar; each line represents a section break, so you can quickly jump to your question if you'd like (although you may have to wait for the entire video to load in order to navigate within playback).

Best,

d
