p14, question 3

Hi Dave! Could you please help me in more details with question 3 (p15). I do agree that ceremonial acts were performed, but I can not find anywhere any evidence that the purpose of these ceremonies are, similar to the paintings per se, to gain magical power over the preys. There are two facts:

1. ceremonies were performed (footprints etc as evidence) before the images

2. potential shamans are seen in the paintings.

I don't get how either fact can lead to the inference that the ceremonies have the same purpose as the paintings per se.
