question #4:
I narrowed it down to A and D, but incorrectly chose A. I thought that this was one of those questions where I could decide between two contending answer choices based on the scope of it (similar to an LR answer choice). So, I went with one that was less encompassing, A. But it seems that my thinking was actually the opposite of the correct answer; 'general and adaptable' isnt necessarily too much of "load bearing language"
I got my evidence for answer choice A in lines 32-37. In line 32, it says "a broad interpretation is supported" which I felt infers that it is flexible. Also, since a broad 'interpretation' is supported, doesnt that infer that there must be a more specific, explicit definition? Additionally, in lines 36-37, it paraphrases what the Handbook defines as a social group; to me, "persons of a similar background, habits, or social status" could be argued as a 'specific' definition of a social group.
