Not Reading All Answer Choices in Reading Comprehension

Hi. I would like to know if it is a good strategy to not read all the answer choices for a question if a student can't finish a section on time. For example, if a student reads all the answer choices then he can only finish 16 of 25 questions. However, if the student does not read all the answer choices and just selects the answer he thinks is best for each question then the student can finish 20 of 25 questions.

I would like to know whether this is a good strategy for reading comprehension.

Thank you.

My answer here is the same as the one I gave in response to this question when asked with regard to LR:

I'd try to make the mindset focus on how you read, not how much you read:

1. If you know what right answers look like, you'll know what you're looking for, and can skim the options in search of an answer rather than attempting to adjudicate between answer choices.

2. If you find an answer that seems right, you can skim the other choices quickly just to confirm that they're wrong. This practice can serve as a useful corrective to those times when there's an attractive—but wrong—(B), and a correct (E). You won't catch yourself if you don't do some sort of check.

In this way, I believe you'll find that you can achieve the benefit of seeing answer choices without spending too much time combing through them.
