new LG format = scrap paper?

since the new LG format gives us a shitload of room to do the diagrams, for those of us that have crappy handwriting and write big, do you think it is ok to practice with scrap paper during our PTs? I find that running out of space for diagramming is a big problem for me. Makes me all nervous and flustered when I see a game with barely any room to diagram.
