Games Page 118 and "Must be true" questions

First, a question about the set-up for a game like the one on page 118. This appeared to be a standard binary grouping game, with the additional factor of the selected items being ordered. I didn't have any trouble with the game, but I just wanted to confirm that my set-up was ideal, and whether or not these type of "binary with ordering element" games appear often. I basically just drew a standard ordering template with 1-5, and then an additional "OUT" column with two spaces in the template.

My second question is about "what must be true if" type questions. If I have previous work containing the condition that comes after the "if" part of that statement, any answer choices that DO NOT occur in my example can be eliminated correct? And any answers that DO occur can be considered possible, but not necessarily correct?

Hey, there,

I've answered your question in this week's mailbag. Today's mailbag is 2012-04-13.

You'll notice that there are vertical lines running through the playback bar; each line represents a section break, so you can quickly jump to your question if you'd like (although you may have to wait for the entire video to load in order to navigate within playback).

Best,

d

Dave, when I went to watch this, there were no vertical lines (as there usually are) indicating breaks on 38. Is this still the correct session for this game?
Thanks.

Hey, Christina,

Sigh. This is a story.

A couple of weeks (months?) ago, Blackboard removed all their session numbers from the recordings. Since I had named our sessions by the numbers Blackboard used, this did a real job on our organization system. Not having any identifying numbers to use any more, I switched all our session names to their corresponding dates, instead.

Now, I see that Blackboard has re-introduced its numbering system.

Super, right?

Yes, except that now, their numbers start at 1 (makes total sense), but in their original scheme, they started the numbering at zero.

I KNOW.

So, you can find my work on Page 118 in SECTION NINE of session 2012-04-13 (which, in their new numbering system, is session 39).

Best,

d
