Hey! I just came across this (http://www.thrillist.com/drink/los-angeles/the-best-summer-beers-five-la...) this very morning. I take the coincidence as a sign.
I can't wait to try these (some of them are only available in LA, but there's good ideas for jumping off, in any case).
Also, I love Stone's Levitation Ale right now, myself.
